വടകരയുടെയും അതിന്‍റെ ചുറ്റുപാടുകളുടെയും മനോഹരമായ കാഴ്ചയും സൂര്യാസ്തമയവും അറബിക്കടലിന്‍റെ കാഴ്ചയും കാണുന്നതോടൊപ്പം മടപ്പുര മുത്തപ്പന്‍റെ അമ്പലവും ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. കാഴ്ചകള്‍ കാണാനും തൊഴാനുമായി നിത്യേന ധാരാളം സഞ്ചാരികളും ഭക്തരുമാണ് പയംകുറ്റിമല കുന്നിലേക്കെത്തുന്നത്. പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ശ്രീ ലോകനാര്‍കാവ് ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനടുത്തായിട്ടാണ് പയംകുറ്റിമല സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.

A panoramic view of Vadakara and its surroundings is what Payamkuttimala hill has to offer. Located from Panikkotti in Vadakara – Tiruvallur road, lots of travellers come here to watch the sunset and the view of Arabian Sea. This small hillock also houses a Muthappan Madapura and dead laterite rocks.

വടകര ടൗണിൽ നിന്ന് തിരുവള്ളൂർ റൂട്ടിൽ ൪ കിലോമീറ്റർ യാത്ര ചെയ്‌താൽ കാവിൽ റോഡിൽ എത്തും. അവിടെ നിന്ന് അൽപ്പം കൂടി മുന്നോട്ടുപോകുമ്പോൾ ഇടതു വശത്തായി പയംകുറ്റിമല എന്ന ബോർഡ് കാണാം. അതുവഴി അരക്കിലോമീറ്റർ കുത്തനെയുള്ള കയറ്റം കയറിയാൽ പയംകുറ്റിമലയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരാം. കൂടാതെ വടകര - മേമുണ്ട റൂട്ടിൽ നാല് കിലോമീറ്റര് യാത്രചെയ്താൽ ചല്ലിവയലിൽ നിന്നും കാവിൽറോഡ് വഴിയും പയംകുറ്റിമലയിൽ എത്തിച്ചേരാൻ കഴിയും.
If you travel 2 km from Vadakara town on the Tiruvallur route, you will reach Kavil Road. Going a little further from there you will see a board called Payamkuttimala on the left. You can reach Payamkuttimala by climbing a steep hill for half a kilometer. Also, if you travel 4 km on the Vadakara - Memunda route, you can reach Payamkuttimala from Challivayal via Kavil Road.
